• Public Domain Gimp scripts:
  contrast.scm (updated 2008-01-23) to increase/decrease contrast in images. Requires gimp 2.4 or later. See comments in script for instructions.
  sharpen.scm is yet another take on sharpening using ideas stolen from a multitude of sources. This version duplicates the top layer, decomposes the image to HSV, figures out the edges from the value layer, and adds that as a layer mask. It then does some amount of USM.
• Garmin GPS upload/download utilities for *BSD and Linux. This version includes support for GPS V, eTrex, etc. Linux support fixed courtesy of Eric Zager. • mbload.shar, a UNIX program to upload code through the console port of an Ascend Multiband, Pipeline, or MAX. Sorry, I seem to have lost the changes that I made to make it work with a TNT.
• hexsum.shar, a utility to calculate the checksum of an intel format microcontroller hex file (and update the file with the resulting checksum) described in the September 1990 issue of Embedded Systems Programming magazine.
• trace.tar.gz, a C++ trace/debugging class described in the October 1989 issue of Computer Language magazine.

• GeoTag is a free OS X (version 10.5 [Leopard] or later required) application that lets you add or modify geo-location information in your digital images.
